Meet Our Trainer

Crystal Bessellieu

Crystal is our head trainer here at Bridlechase Farm as well as the owner/operator. Coming from an equestrian family, Crystal's riding career dates back to early childhood. Her passion for eventing started at the age of 16. She began competing at Intermediate level in 2004. She competed at NAYRC in 2003 and 2004. Her team took home a bronze medal in 2004.

Crystal spent time as a working student for Bruce and Buck Davidson and Kyle Carter. She has trained with Philip Dutton and Ralph Hill. She has also participated in several clinics with Karen O’Connor, Cindy Rawson and Lucinda Green. Having the opportunity to learn from several different mentors and experience different perspectives and techniques has developed Crystal into the horsewomen she is today. These experiences helped her to keep an open mind and gain insight to work with horses and create positive results.

Crystal’s passion for eventing comes from the pure bond between horse and rider. Eventing incorporates three challenging and different disciplines, making it essential to have a well-rounded horse with trust anchored by mutual respect. While Crystal loves to compete, she also enjoys the satisfaction of teaching others to ride and training horses to be trusted and obedient companions. This passion is the driving force that makes Crystal and Bridlechase Farm a growing and successful operation in Florida.
